Same goes for blocking ads on Android devices also. Since it is not a pleasant experience to close the advertisement every time it pops-up, the best preventive measure can be to install an Adblock app. Technically for many businesses, advertisements are a medium to increase sales or spread awareness about their products.īut just like “Too many cooks spoil the cake” too much of ads can disturb user’s browsing, gaming or any other experience. While for many start-ups and developers, the ads may be one of the sources to make bucks and may also be served as a source of information to some users but not everyone enjoys advertisements. They have done that multiple times the past week or so.Nowadays, advertisements are everywhere – ranging from newspapers, TVs, hoardings to now on the internet and mobile phones too. A browser extension will come out that blocks them and twitch will have it no longer working and stopping ads in as little as 2 or 3 days. Its still blocking ads in the twitch app perfectly and Twitch has been fighting ad blocking relentlessly recently. Wonder why it blocks ads in every other app simply and automatically but YouTube it can't without having to reset YT's app data each launch. As of now that's the only way adguard can block ads in the YouTube app. I share the cost of a YT premium family plan with a few people and with YouTube music included i got rid of Spotify so I find it worth it. Pretty sure that means signing back each time but im not sure. However even adguard can't block ads in the YouTube app unless you turn on a option in the advanced settings to have AdGuard clear YouTube's app data each time you launch it. So its no wonder its not in the play store lol, google dose make A LOT if not the majority of their money from online advertising like google adsense. Super easy to use, no rooting, just install and turn it on. ![]() I never see ads of any kind in apps (no banners, no video ad roll pop ups etc). It dose a fantastic job blocking ads at the system level. I have been using the adguard android application for a year now. ![]() Like others have said, I think your only option other than using the mobile version of the YouTube site in one of the Android browsers that supports extensions/ad block would be YouTube Vanced. ![]() Sorry I'm unable to help you further! Good luck!! My only advice would be to Google "YouTube adblocker cellphone" or something similar, maybe include "reddit" in your search to find newer posts with workarounds or search for Vanced manager along with your phone type or operating system and when it gets to the screen saying its discontinued, use one of the suggested alternatives provided. I'm unsure how since I still have both the manager and the application on my phone. Unfortunately, I tried to look up Vanced manager for you to give you a link but it says it's been discontinued. I deleted it and Googled "how to install Vanced" and I found a YouTube video which included a link for the Vanced manager in the description and I installed the Vanced manager and from there installed Vanced. But the Vanced version didn't work with my new phone. I got a new phone a couple of months ago and since it was just going from one Samsung Galaxy to another, my apps and things just swapped over in my transfer/set-up.
